The boys of our favourite Australian band, 5 Seconds of Summer, known by the masses as ‘5SOS,’ have a lot to celebrate this week as their second album reaches one million sales worldwide!
The follow up to their self titled debut album ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ was released back in October and the guys have recently been awarded a plaque to mark their newest achievement.
5 Seconds of Summer posted a picture of themselves of them holding their plaques on their official Instragram page with a caption which read:
We were given these plaques yesterday for Sounds Good Feels Good selling 1 million copies worldwide. incredible way to start the UK tour; thank you all.
‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ gave the band their first UK number 1 album, outselling their rivals by more than two to one. They also became the first band to have their first two full length albums debut at number one on the Billboard charts.
Tomorrow night (April 7th,) the band will begin the first of two shows at London’s O2 arena after beginning their ‘Sounds Live Feels Live’ tour on Tuesday in Sheffield (April 5th.) They will travel around Europe and North America before concluding their tour in their home country, Australia.
