Courtney Act Has Released The Music Video To "Eurovision - Australia Decides" Entry "Fight For Love"

Eurovision – Australia Decides is shaping up nicely and is quickly becoming one of the most competitive and most exciting national selection shows for the Eurovision Song Contest. Recently, Courtney Act has continued to lead the pack, having been the first act to officially release her single, and now the first act to officially release her music video – but does that mean she’s in with a chance of winning and representing Australia at Eurovision 2019, we’ll have to wait and see.

She’s also grabbing headlines as she has also been announced as a contestant on the Australian version of Dancing With The Stars becoming the first drag queen act ever to compete in the show out of all the versions around the world – similarly, this happened when she competed in Australian Idol season one.

Imma be twinkling round the floor on Dancing With The Stars!!! Can't wait to do all the sexy dances and wear all the pretty dresses (hopefully no wardrobe malfunctions this time) #DWTSau @DancingOn10 pic.twitter.com/f7dtvrTuei

For the show, she will be partnered with Joshua Keefe. They will be one of 11 dance partnerships taking to the dancefloor to compete on the revived series of Dancing With The Stars. The series previously ended in 2015 after a successful run of 15 series.

Before the show begins, Courtney Act will be taking part in Eurovision – Australia Decides and if chosen as the official Australian Eurovision 2019 act, it is unlikely it will clash with Eurovision, as there is likely to be eight weeks of Dancing With The Stars. Even if there are 11 weeks, that still gives Courtney Act a few days before rehearsals begin in May – it’s do-able.

The music video has been directed by Natasha Foster & Erin Fairs from Femme.TV whereas the creative directors were Ashley Evans & Antony Ginandjar from The Squared Division. Also in the video clip with Courtney Act are six dancers who are Jade Quirici, Darci O’Rourke, Kyra Dooley, Jake Edwards, Tom Anastopoulos, and Jeremy Santos, whilst the head choreographer was Lucy Doherty.

It’s great to see another high quality music video for a drag queen, much to the quality of Blair St. Clair’s. We were expecting a story narrative to link in well with the song, instead we have an unforgettable performance piece that certainly leaves its stamp in the music industry – much like the song.

The single has been out for over a month now, and has gained a total of 109,000 Spotify streams. We expect this to rise after Eurovision – Australia Decides. The show will take place on 9 February 2019 with a 50/50 jury and televote to determine their Eurovision representative. It will be hosted on the Gold Coast, Queensland by Myf Warhurst and Joe Creasey.
