Thus, Ansin got the chance to become an executive vice president at Sunbeam Television Corp, the holding company for the television station. In 1971 he became Sunbeam's president right after his father's death. The station, still operating as a Fox affiliate, practiced first the "if it bleeds, it leads" style of TV journalism mainly focusing on crime and similar consumer interest stories. Even though in the late seventies, Edmund Ansin has no intention to retire.
