Jordan Rodgers is an American sports commentator, TV personality, and former professional American football player who was a part of the offseason and/or practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars (2013), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013), and the Miami Dolphins (2014) in the NFL (National Football League); and the BC Lions (2015) in the CFL (Canadian Football League); as a quarterback. Jordan was signed up by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013 – as an undrafted free agent (a player who is not under contract with any specific team or a player who is under contract but allowed to solicit offers from other teams). In August 2016, he was hired by ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, an American international basic cable sports channel) as a college football analyst for a news program called SEC Now on the SEC Network. The SEC Network is a channel dedicated to coverage of collegiate sports sanctioned by the SEC (Southeastern Conference). SEC, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, is an American college athletic conference consisting of 14 member institutions located in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

  • Jordan, in his senior year, led his high school football team to an 8-3-1 record. He also lettered (a letter is an award earned in the United States for excellence in school activities) in basketball and track events.
  • At Butte College, he was the backup quarterback when the college team won the junior college national title in 2008, with a 12-0 win-loss record. In 2009, as a starting quarterback, Jordan broke the college record for total offense – passing for 2,219 yards and 19 touchdowns.
