In the short clip, Snoop is seen rocking his new diamond-encrusted chain which features the Wu’s iconic W logo on top of a Samurai mask. Soundtracked by a snippet of the Staten Island group’s “Gravel Pit,” the post’s caption reveals King Ice, a California jeweler, created the chain.

This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg was spotted wearing custom-made gear. Recently, the West Coast rapper teased a potential NHL collaboration with Death Row Records and was seen wearing a customized pair of sweatpants embroidered with the Ottawa Senators logo.

Since May, Snoop has been pushing for ownership of the NHL team since it was revealed he was in a bidding war among numerous potential owners, including actor Ryan Reynolds.

First reported by The Athletic, Snoop has sought to become the NHL’s first Black owner with the Senators’ purchase. Ryan Reynolds’ group allegedly includes a bid north of $ 1billion, and The Weeknd would also come along as part of the team.

Snoop confirmed the news and voiced his hope to grow the game of hockey within the Black community. “Amazing what @neko_sparks is trying to do in Ottawa & I’m looking forward to being a part of that ownership team,” he wrote to Instagram at the time. “I WANNA BRING HOCKEY TO OUR COMMUNITY.”

Snoop may be en route to fulfilling this dream, as the embroidered sweatpants posted to his Instagram last month seemed to suggest he was emerging victorious in the bidding war.

This isn’t all that Snoop Dogg has going on the business front. In February last year, the rapper acquired the Death Row brand from MNRK Music Group (formerly eOne Music), which is controlled by private equity funds managed by leading global investment firm Blackstone.

Although terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, Hasbro toy company purchased MNRK Music Group in 2019 for $4billion and inadvertently became the new owners of Death Row.

In April 2021, Hasbro announced it had sold MNRK Music Group to Blackstone for $385million in cash. Needless to say, the legendary Hip Hop entity likely wasn’t cheap.
