I don’t think they should have taken this either, especially when it was clear prosecutors fucked up big time. There are much more pressing issues that affect Americans, and even then the Supreme Court is still shit on them thanks to backwards Republicans.

The prosecutors knew that the (very shady) DA had agreed to not press charges against Cosby if he submitted statements, and then they used those statements to prosecute, which should have ended the trial right there. I'm not saying it's right, I think the agreement was bullshit and the DA was a scuzzball for agreeing to it, but once the DA said Cosby couldn't be prosecuted based on his statements, that was basically the state saying he couldn't be prosecuted.

Weird that he agreed to talk in the first place, promise from the DA or not. IMO, his lawyer back then committed malpractice. DAs come and go and look what happened: new DA didn't keep promise of old DA.

Cosby got out on a technicality. Not because he's innocent. Social media will remind everybody about that. Any project associated with Cosby will bomb hard. Can he retire with the money he already has? Maybe. But it will bug the hell out of him that he lost all of his moral authority and social standing.

And the fact that they tried to make the Supreme Court get involved is trash as well, trying to railroad the justice system. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Legally speaking, given the dumb deal the DA made, he shouldn't have served a single day in prison. So, we should actually consider ourselves lucky that he wound up doing almost two years.

It’s odd because I never ever like Cosby’s vibe. I could not stand that show because of it. Incredible to know what he was doing while taping all those years.
